Incisions generally are easily hidden in the natural lines and folds around the eye. Both upper and lower eyelids can be operated upon at the same time or independently as well. Eyelid surgery is also frequently performed with facelift and Brow Lift procedures Cold compresses are applied to the surgical areas for a 24 – 48 hour period.   The vast majority of eyelid surgery is performed as an office-based procedure with oral sedation and local anesthesia, thus maximizing your safety and comfort. 

Eyelid surgery patients do not generally complain of pain after this procedure. Any discomfort is easily controlled with medication. Light exercise can generally be started two weeks after surgery.
