Anshu Gupta MD – Facial & Body Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Anshu Gupta is Co-Founder of the premiere cosmetic practice, BeautifySD. Trained in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, Dr. Gupta blends art and science while examining his patients, combining intuition, creativity and artistic sense with extensive surgical training, discipline, and medical knowledge. Dr. Gupta is committed towards providing the best and most compassionate care for his patients.
Dr. Gupta is extensively trained in aesthetic plastic surgery, as well as in reconstructive surgery for birth defects, traumatic injuries, and deformities from cancer including microsurgery and breast reconstruction. Dr. Gupta trained in Plastic Surgery at the Indiana University, a center of excellence and famous in the nation for Plastic Surgery Training. There Dr. Gupta had the opportunity to study under 14 general plastic and facial plastic surgeons, many of them world – renowned. With this extensive background Dr. Gupta is able to perform a large variety of procedures and can thus tailor them without any bias to your individual needs to achieve the best results.
Now based in La Jolla, San Diego, Dr. Gupta takes pride in being a “perfectionist.” In addition to paying meticulous attention towards your safety, Dr. Gupta enjoys teaching his patients about the treatments that they are going through. Dr. Anshu Gupta completed a rigorous general surgery residency at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, California prior to his Plastic and Reconstructive surgery training. He is currently Board Certified in General Surgery and a candidate member of American Society of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Gupta also is the leading author of many published research studies in many different fields including Gene Therapy for Cancer, General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (see below).

Ritvik Mehta MD – Facial Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Ritvik Mehta is also a co-founder of the premiere cosmetic practice, BeautifySD. Dr. Mehta received his medical degree from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. He then went on to Harvard Medical School where he completed his internship in General Surgery and residency in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery. While at Harvard, Dr. Mehta chose to pursue advanced training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery / Facial Nerve Disorders. Dr. Mehta is truly a compassionate and caring physician who has a deep interest in providing the best possible care for his patients. His practice focuses on aesthetic surgery of the face and neck. He has co-authored numerous publications (see below) and travels nationally and internationally to give scientific presentations. Dr. Mehta is also dual board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery.
