Many factors like aging, sun exposure, genetic influences, can be contributing factors to drooping of the eyebrows. This can produce a tired, older, and sometimes an angry appearance. A Brow lift can smooth out the lines and wrinkles of the forehead and correct drooping brows, to provide a younger, friendlier and more rested appearance.
BeautifySD physicians Dr. Gupta and Dr. Mehta offer the brow lift through the latest minimal scar techniques. Commonly three or four small incisions are used hidden behind the hairline. Forehead skin is elevated in limited area and is redraped or resuspended to obtain the desired aesthetic contour for the eyebrows. The result is a youthful looking appearance of the forehead region.
The brow lift incision may be modified if it is also desired to move the hairline forward or backward. An open technique is necessary if a complete forehead lift is desired improving the forehead lines and deep wrinkles as well. In addition, the brow lift procedure is commonly performed in combination with Eyelid Surgery to obtain the best outcome. Dr Gupta and Dr. Mehta will discuss these techniques in details with you to allow you to make a well informed decision about the procedure that is best for you.
Mild to moderate bruising is expected after the surgery and resolves within a couple of weeks. Any discomfort is easily controlled with medication. Strenuous activity should be avoided for two to four weeks.

He then went on to Harvard Medical School where he completed his internship in General Surgery and residency in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery. While at Harvard, Dr. Mehta chose to pursue advanced training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery / Facial Nerve Disorders.  Dr. Mehta is also double board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. |
